Beyond bringing Apple branding cachet, the physical stores will offer a premium buying experience in a country where the premium smartphone market is relatively untapped.
Bad buying experiences happen to us sometimes. Thank goodness for that. Without them, we would not recognize premium buying experiences. Though a buying experience is a buyer’s mental donation and not a seller’s offering, I congratulate Apple on opening its first physical store in India, which I think is momentous.

I suppose I’m the only weirdo that likes to see what the people in these renders are doing. It’s like looking at a model train layout and finding a little Godzilla or something incongruous.

Oddly there’s only one person outside using a phone, actually holding it ip to their ear no less. There should be a bunch of mobile zombies hunched over swiping to and fro. That would be more realistic.

That architecture is gorgeous. Well done, Apple!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it.

The Apple BKC store used:
• 1000 Handcrafted Timber tiles for the Ceiling.
• Stone walls from Rajasthan state. The stone has heat-retaining capacity. They retain heat during the day, keeping indoors cool, thus regulating the temperature.
• Stainless Steel Staircase.
• 100 team members who collectively speak 20+ Indian languages, including English.
• It runs on 100% Renewable Energy. Carbon neutral and fossil fuel free.

Doesn't seem to be much protection around the exterior of the store. Some random guy could just drive an SUV into it.

Found this picture and it seems like it's in a complex of some sort with a fence

Tim Cook thought the 128K was for him, but the customer said 'hell no, I ain't giving you this' and his demeanor immediately changed.
After the handshake did you see Tim Cook getting ignored by the fan and you can see Cook walking inside the store with a "whatever man" type attitude, LOL. 0:37 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you so much for sharing these details.

Much obliged.

I'm not so sure… I think the gentleman has just moved on to having his photo taken with Deirdre O'Brien (Apple's senior vice president of Retail + People). Tim Cook seems to be conversing with another Apple? person (the guy in the blue shirt) just inside the store entrance.

Thanks for those details! I'm going to try to find more photos of the building.

Great to see that the first store in India is finally open! Looking forward to the opening of Delhi store on Thursday. Hopefully Apple will open more stores across the country soon.
