Sounds like you mama never taught you how to take care of your toys. There's a difference between how you should treat sophisticated electronic equipment and a football. I'm on my 3rd pair of iMacs, and 4th iPad, and have never needed a repair or replacement. You're obviously holding them wrong. :p

NOT TRUE, whilst Apple's build quality is nigh on second to none, its not infallible, I'm on my THIRD iPhone 5, 1st I dropped when wasted totally my fault and thank god for insurance! 2nd iPhone 5 had a dodgy wifi radio, as my old iPhone 4 which I still use for a couple of things (mostly work related) would be able to get full signal sat in the garden and the iPhone 5 would barely register a single bar of wifi signal, the lock button then also seemed to just stop working (which also happened to 2 seperate friends iPhone 5's), my 3rd iPhone 5 works flawlessly as the iPhone 4 I got several years ago now does aswell.

Before you say it, I am extremely careful with all my electronics and like you never needed to patch up/repair or replace something through neglect. For example my iPhone 5 has a tempered glass screen protector that is simply amazing (not being one for putting cheap crap screen protectors or ill fitting cases on my iDevices) and I'd recommend it to anyone, my girlfriend dropped my iPhone 5 the other week on her bed and it promptly bounced and hit the screen on the metal frame (note NOT me) which caused the screen protector to crack but protected the actual iPhone screen from any damage, pretty sure the brand has been featured on here aswell.

Ever since he's took over all the products lost their quality! I'm speaking of the flimsy iPad air, the completely unrepairable iMac, MBPr and mostly every product they have right now. Everything is glued! It's a time where form is superior than function.

I think the balance is just right. Why should there be screw sockets and large seams all over an iPad Air? If there is a problem with it just make an appointment with an :apple: genius and they will swap it for you.

What's wrong with that?

You're on your 4th iPad. It has only been out for 4 years. Your obviously updating them as soon as a new one is released, I'm guessing the person who you quoted is more concerned about how things work over time, something which you don't give your devices.

You must be fun at parties... "Who wants to play parcheesi?"

From the WHOOSH-dept:

You obviously didn't visualize how funny this would turn out. Every few minutes one of the two people with Tim would excuse themselves to go to the bathroom, or take a phone call away from the table out of courtesy, etc, only to have a completely different person take their place and start digging in to the lunch while starting a conversation with him.

Only reason i'd like to meet him is to tell him what piece of ***** he is. Ever since he's took over all the products lost their quality! Ouch! That's harsh.

I think a meeting with Cook is much less desirable than say, Jobs or Buffett.

From what I read about past charity lunch/dinner events, people basically pay to get an insight of these people's view and philosophy. And as many have already pointed out, Cook is seemed as a much less of a visionary comparing to Jobs. And the actual benefit (beyond the charity) seems rather limited.

If it were Steve Jobs or Woz, then that would be worth it. I don't think Cook brings much to the table in terms of vision or desire for innovation. He's a great manager, but I don't think of Tim Cook when I think apple/innovation.

Amen on that. I have nothing against Cook other than that he's a reed blowing in the wind when Carl Icahn and co. wish to enforce their will on him.

However Woz is really the guy whose brain I'd love to pick about Apple. Probably a lot of the original 70s/80s crew would be more fun to talk to (than Cook), or maybe some of the Pixar or Next team.

Well, here's your chance to tell him how you feel. ;) :D
