Apple has not changed their ways, they problem is when the innovation ran out , the attention turned to everything apple related, which includes tax avoidance . This would have been a non issue if the spotlight was on innovation and apple leading the industry. Tax becomes and issue when you are that rich and your product line is being stagnated and milked. The new Sony

More and more people are definitely pointing the finger at Apple right now. They're going to find it harder and harder to justify their wealth and prices. If I was them I'd start to keep quiet about how much spare cash I was sitting on, cause people will start wondering why they're not paying more into the communities they're selling their products to.

Oooh man. Soo may products in the pipeline. Like ehh...dunno. Maybe AI/AR. Dunno what it will be like. But we spend more than anybody else on the planet. Maybe the new UAC port. With 60 more dongles.
Siri will play a central role. Let's talk about taxes. We spend so much. Who's that guy ? OK, his music is soo important to Apple. We'll plant a new Applestore here. And a statue, actually. Ohh, I feel like God. Ehh, Platitudines, the God of the dunno small talk.

Hence Cook is trying to deflect with privacy etc and pretending apple has our back etc while at the same time refusing to pay their share of tax which in fact would go to communities etc. Getting money out of apple is all but impossible while at the same time they pretend to care so much.

They need to very quickly start to innovate to turn the attention to leading through products and not being asked what is happening with all that cash....

Siri is DEAD.

And only die-hard apple extremist fanboys will dispute that and tell you how great and practical she is.

The lack of effort Apple has put into a product that started out as something really promising is disgusting and utterly shameful for a company of Apple's size.

They ever so slowly killed a promising product by neglecting it and not putting any work or effort into its further development and refinement, because they did not see how they could make much money off that investment later.

This is called "pulling an Apple" and happened to many great Apple products, Aperture only to name one.

Pulling an Apple:
Newton
- PDA nuff said. To define: far too heavy, bulky and large along with 256 grey-scale screen, too expensive modules. Palm, Psion had better engines and cheaper products. I was 13 when Newton debuted and saw it first hand!
eMac
- education didn't require a low spec'd and low priced Mac.
17" PowerBook G4 ... not enough units sold, too costly to produce and warranty claims too high for profits.
Mac Pro (2013)
- far too expensive after 2nd year vs the competition - love this Mac though just too expensive.

Siri
- not pulling an Apple:
Used in ALL iOS devices, TV OS now, and in MacOS/OSX! It's part of the selling dynamic but therein lies the issue.
How do you use a 'feature' that is free into a selling point for profits?
>> Dare I saw like iLife suite of products (GarageBand e.g.) this may become a selling feature along with iCloud storage? EEEK!
