Jobs was an adamant vegetarian, fruitarian even. I cannot remember him ever making a single comment on this in his position as Apple's CEO. For the simple reason that it is totally irrelevant to the company.
Tim should try and do the same with his beliefs.
Yeah, I did notice that when Tim speaks in regards to his causes it is very difficult to determine if he is trying to position these causes as his own personal causes or his and Apple's combined. It's not generally the case that a CEO makes his/her own personal causes into that of the company he or she did not start or are not directly related to the nature of the company's products themselves.
I don't think Product Red is an issue as it is well implemented to tie into the product line as a whole. And I like that they finally made something for the SE. Environmental causes also fit because Apple's operations do damage the environment and they have taken steps to mitigate that damage.
But Tim would serve some of his other causes better by representing them exclusively as his own and not conflating them with Apple's. Especially any LGBT causes he supports, because Apple does a lot of business in countries that are actively suppressing LGBT rights. He's making a hypocrite of the company if he mixes Apple's values with his own in this regard.

Ah it's just fun to talk about. Tim has better things to do with his time than read this forum. He has said in interviews he ignores these kinds of suggestions from the peanut gallery anyway.

It's just everywhere though. Every other post on every other article is "Get out Tim" or "Tim should..." it's just getting incredibly irritating when it's practically everywhere you look. Even usernames are starting to say it now FFS.

I agree it's out of hand. It's one thing to discuss Tim, but it is often done with flippant disrespect for this man who has successfully navigated Apple past Steve's death. Or flippant disrespect for the subject matter. Or flippant disrespect for one another.
I do think all of this is a reflection of trying times in the world at large and with Apple seemingly in a bit of a holding pattern with product innovation and advancement. People have lost patience with it all. Fortunately the forum is generally well moderated and there is far less nonsense tolerated here than on other places where I get my tech news and read user commentary.
