Speaking of fairness, a next to ZERO chance anyone other than Black or African-American, even though most do not have any ties to Africa at all, is mentioned by Jesse there. A one sided argument so that only his group enjoys these benefits, minority or not. Self seeking at it's finest.

Where is that happening?

It happens in any organization that institutes racial and/or gender quotas. It's rampant in the public sector in Canada. HR departments will tell applicants to their face that white men or white women are no longer being considered because their quotas were filled. At that point, qualifications no longer matter. In stead of "the most qualified candidate", these organizations search for "the most qualified black". It's disgraceful.
 
I'm so ****ing sick of this diversity ********. Women and "Minorities" will be hired if they are qualified. Truth is, there aren't as many female or "minority" students out there studying computer science etc. And so what is the problem? People can study what they want. Who is stopping these poor helpless groups from studying coding, app development etc?

Because Jobs did not diversify his workforce. 99% whitey.

The workforce is as diverse as who is qualified that applies. Hiring lesser candidates just because they are black or anything else is ********. "Oh there aren't any blacks in here. We need to hire some. Just because."
 
A very important point to consider is that these quaotas will not impact asians, even though they are vastly overrepresented at Apple, compared to their overall population percentage in the US.

These quotas will only affect caucasians (who are already underrepresented at Apple).

People like Jackson and Sharpton are vile and evil, but they aren't dumb. They know exactly what they're doing. Their target is very clear. If it were up to them, they'd have Cook place on a sign a Apple headquarters that read: Whites need not apply.
 
Apple isn't so bad. 55% are white, which is lower than the total population. Blacks make up 7%, which is still low but better than most companies (Microsoft is 3.5% black).

Why do percentages matter? You are never going to have equal numbers across the board... if anyone strived for that, they already lost focus on their business, and it would fall apart. If you focus on race, instead of integrity of the individual, your business will fail.

I would take some action
If only more minorities
Would change their priorities
And get the right education
So that I could do some remediation

If they'll go get some skills

I'll take qualified whites over unqualified blacks who only get hired because of the pigment of their skin any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Maybe instead of meeting with Jesse Jackson Cook should be spending time figuring out what the heck is going on with Apple and its relationship with developers. All these great features are demoed at WWDC but when developers try to take advantage of them their apps are pulled from the App Store. This is how Apple treats developers these days? Heads should be rolling somewhere.

During [a conversation with someone at App Review], I also asked specifically why Launcher was removed from the App Store after 9 days when other similar apps are still available weeks later. The answer to this question was the most interesting and informative response I had ever heard from them. They basically said that Launcher was a trailblazer in uncharted territories and that they felt that they needed to make an example of it in order to get the word out to developers that its functionality is not acceptable without them having to publish new specific guidelines. And they said that the fact that they aren’t seeing hundreds of similar apps submitted every day is proof to them that taking down Launcher was successful in this regard.

This was a pretty big revelation to me. After Launcher was rejected and the press picked up on it and started writing articles which painted Apple in a bad light, I was afraid that Apple might be mad at me. But it turns out that was actually the outcome they were looking for all along. They acted swiftly and made me the sacrificial lamb. And after that, removing other apps with similar functionality became a low priority for them.
