Cook is too perfect I think. He is like a robot! Good manager, good speaker, good time planner, good in finance, good in marketing, good in everything. He lacks passion, humor, romanticism, he lacks human factor. Steve was more human and that's why he was the best at influencing people and trends. Look at his past presentations and you can easily notice how happy and how proud was every time Apple brought us something new.

A lot of votes for Ive

Ive is an introvert and doesn't feel comfortable on stage. Steve was an enigma, a complete control freak and i would guess his heart was a beating apple logo. Nobody could top his legacy i believe.

I watched the keynote on the 7th and i couldn't help thinking this was the new apple and i still felt great about it, regardless of who presented it, the products were still seriously amazing. So whoever fronts apple, providing they have these great products still, i don't think it matters because i don't think anyone could ever top or even match how jobs presented. Fortunately he's built a juggernaut empire that will keep going without him.

Jobs often seem to commission most ads and control the content and who they work with but Schiller's marketing over the last year has been spot on, on apple trend. This is what 99% of the buyers see on TV, magazine etc. So providing the products at keynotes are still groundbreaking, then the reporters who turn up will still have juicy carrots to write about, regardless of how attractive the voice of the presenter is.

Now it gets onto the future of Apple. Their philosophy seems to be, employ passionate, bright people with crazy ideas. Jobs drove the company with incredibly enthusiasm and determined grit and it was his visionary that launched the products at the right times. However Ive made the products look and feel immense, Cue and Forstall designed the groundbreaking iOS and iCloud services. I have no doubt that Apple will still continue to make these awesome products and services with these great minds on board, it just needs a good CEO to cut all the **** out and concentrate on what works best and only release products that are better than the last. I believe Cook can do this. I think he's a workaholic manager type and not an entrepreneur thinker naturally. Doesn't mean he doesn't have vision, he does, he's made some great and bold decisions especially with his iPhone subsidy packages and keep old devices in production. He's a good business mind and time will tell how this affects this hippy Californian global super power.

Totally agree with bp1000. I feel very confident as an Apple investor (and as a person who has businesses running on Apple products).

Cook will never be Jobs, but I guess I hold the minority opinion here that he's done a great job presenting.

Ives is an unsung genius. People outside of the world of gadgetry don't know who he is -- and that just makes me sad. He's one of the greatest artists of our time, perhaps of any time.

Absolutely, his design vision and ability is off the charts.

He has made the impossible, possible. How on earth can you fit all the technology inside the MBA and yet have it run silent and cool. Yet it's still more powerful than a lot of desktop machines AND it has 7 hours battery. It's just mind blowing. And on top of that everything looks extremely desirable. No cheap grade plastic in sight.

The iPad again, is mind-blowing what it can do.

No one can come close to what he can achieve, he is an unsung hero but he probably likes it that way. He doesn't seem to like attention like some.

I know this might sound crazy but when my 2 year old girl picked up the iPad for the first time and pressed the home button and swiped to active it, it just blew my mind. Something so complex inside can be operated by a 2 year old. When i was 2, i had wooden toys with stiff joints. I feel really proud to allow her to learn and play with such devices as the iPad. She's quite creative and the apps available have given her enjoyment and education that nothing could have 30 years ago. That i'd say is down to jobs and ive. She has her own iPhone now, our old 3G which she can happily operate. I watched her with my old Android Google Nexus One and despite both devices being very similar in ability she gives up on Android after a while.
