Please post your photo so that we can all laugh at how you look.

Where was I laughing at Tim or how he looks? I said I find the (obvious) likeness amusing.

Calm down. Oh, and if you defend Tim THAT easily and get THAT wound up at a light hearted post, you truly need help.

Seriously, the sense of humor in these forums is seriously lacking. But, Macrumors is my go-to place for nearly all my Apple-news needs - I get my funny fix somewhere else.

Look, the people making negative comments are just trying to be funny (whether they are succeeding or not is up to you) but they're not serious and probably wouldn't have the nerve to say any of it to Tim's face - but whatever it's the Internet so lighten up (or just ignore the comments.)

Everytime I see him on a picture I think that if he would shave his head and grow a beard he would make the perfect SJ impersonator...

Good post. I didn't see my post as negative, as I said the thing I found amusing was the comparison (and with all lookalikes, not everyone will see it), as it's one I've always seen since Tim first took to the stage.

The only "negative" comments I've made about Tim, in other threads, is that I find his presenting style a little too slow and methodical, compared to the overly enthusiastic style of Steve Jobs. To me, that's more an observation and a preference as opposed to negativity, but I still cannot believe I've had to go into this much detail about a post which, as I said, was posted in absolute jest and someone, somehow, took the huff and found it offensive to them personally.

I actually agree with you. Signs matter.

Tim Cook is awesome. He has taken hold of Apple and I hate to say it may not be long before people will say "Steve, who?" I know... blasphemes right?

It is great to see him out. I think it shows great leadership.

But to show up in a LiveStrong breaker jacket? Lounge around your house in the LiveStrong jacket but here – show up with an Apple on the pocket or nothing at all on the jacket. And he doesn't need to mimic Steve Jobs. That only sets him up to look like a company man and not his own persona.

It's all about brand association and brand value. The fact is, Tim Cook is now as much a "brand" of Apple as any other item coming out of Apple. Be it to the A5 core.

You'd think that iPhone sales in China would be limited because wages and cost of living make the iPhone relatively more expensive to purchase there.

China is the world's second largest economy. Stereotypes aside, there are plenty of people with money there.

I think Tim's awesome. The Livestrong jacket makes sense considering, unlike Steve, he's supposedly kind of a fitness freak and into road cycling.

Glad to see Tim out doing his thing. Who gives a spit what he's wearing? Are we all so bored that we now have to judge the man's wardrobe? Was he supposed to arrive in a uniform or something? Or did he have to sport a blue shirt too? Come on guys... lighten up just a little?

He's probably even friends with Lance Armstrong (in addition to the whole Nike board thing).

Every time I see Tim Cook, I can't help but laugh and think of UK television "comedian"/"chat show host", Paul O'Grady ...

Oh my god, you're right. Now all I can do is imagine him with that accent. Bwahaha.

Tim seems like a nice guy, though. Lately Apple has felt like this mysterious corporate entity but Tim's friendly face seems to be disarming that belief.

Tim Cook

To see him in such a casual attire makes me love the Apple community even more. See we're not just a bunch of uptight suits trying to impose our way of life on the masses. Rather we are a closed community of minority who are dedicated to making a difference.
:apple: the real dedicated users.

It's really nice seeing Tim Cook in an Apple retail store. I can't remember ever seeing Steve Jobs in one. Maybe when they first launched? I'm not sure.

It's nice seeing Tim interact with entry level employees.

So far I like this guy.

SJ was frequently in stores in the earlier years, but not so much later on. I would assume that it was probably to do with his health.

Was this a real Apple store? Was that really him? :)

As far as what he is wearing, big deal. His employees have T-Shirts and jeans on!
