Or even better, have 1 million tickets available world wide for $20. Fly the people to Apple HQ from where ever in the world with 1 weeks accommodation in SF.

This would allow "the little people" a chance too, but perhaps thats the point, we are only there to buy the products.

yeah because the logistic for that would cost only $20/person.

I really hope the individuals bidding on this are spending that money because they want to donate to charity and not because they really want to have lunch with Tim cook. I think I would throw up my lunch from all the Apple hyperboli he would be spewing out.

If that were the case I would have bid and if I won would have brought him crow to eat while he explained to me why my AW is so slow, why ATV is so meh, how a price hike on the new iPad 9.7 model will reverse the line's downward sales curve, and of course, when will MBP get TB3 & USB 3.1 & 4K screens?
LOL. I'm sure you have issues that you want to discuss with him...so as I.

I bet you it's an executive that bid on this and will sit at the lunch and sell their company --

"Tim, my company would be a great purchase for Apple. I think you can buy me out for $10million and will get a ton of benefit from it."
"So sir are you telling me that you spent $500k of your companies money to get this lunch with me to pitch a buyout."
"Well... yes... Aren't you impressed."
"Check please."

He's talking a raffle.

It wouldn't work, and it might be too difficult due to laws ( gambling), IRS code, and maybe the foundation's Bylaws. Plus, rich people would by a gazillion tickets anyway, rigging the system.

Damn it, spend your time running your shareholders business. When you get paid $60k you go home to the family every night. When you get paid $millions your company owns you, you don't get a life of your own until you quit, get fired or retire.

Here's what I don't get. If there is that much interest in one ticket, offer two and raise twice as much money, and offer as many as they want for a buy it now price of say 349,680.92€

Simple economics I guess. If they had that many tickets, the price for one would drop immensely. And I think there might be a issue with Tim Cook's time. Since you know, he's the CEO. ^^

I hope a MacRumors user won, so he/she can ask Tim all the questions we wish we could, like:

"Why have you paid almost no attention to the Mac?"
"16 GB? Really?"
"How can iTunes still suck after all this time?"

And stuff like that :D

I'll be sure to ask him. Although the 16GB never bothered me because I'm super-rich and able to afford the highest storage models every year

Whoever won, enjoy the inside scoop on what new watch bands are coming!!!!!

Thanks, I will! I'll also inquire about a new Watch Edition, since I need something else to blow my boat-loads of cash on

Plus, would any CEO of one of the largest companies on the planet want to risk spending an hour with a random guest who had $20 to plunk on a lottery ticket? Not sure I would.

I think it's the "one ticket" thing that raises interest. There's a few people I know with this kind of disposable income (for work...) and "exclusive" is a concept very clear to them

Tim Kardashian is at it again. This guy really doesn't care about anything but his own agenda. Please, please let's get a new CEO at Apple immediately.
