HomeKit time based automations not triggering

i've starting having issues with my automations set in the Home app - they previously were working just fine, but recently have seemed to have stopped working.

i have daily automations to set the temp on my thermostat at 9am and at 10pm.
when i press "test this automation" it works just fine, however at the designated times nothing happens.

not sure what is causing it to not trigger at the times?
my homekit hub is a homepod mini (running the latest version 15.2)

any suggestions?
the homepod mini seems to be working fine otherwise.

try power cycling or rebooting the HomePod, as well as any other home hub capable devices, and any network gear including your router and wifi gear.

I've seen weirdness where a HomePod "half works" and rebooting the router clears it up.

it seems to have started working again on its own ?‍♂️
