When I plug in a 1TB LacCie USB Hard Drive into my Time Capsule's USB port it doesn't show up as being connected or on the network?

Yet, if I plug in USB stick it shows up, even if I plug in USB stick via a USB Hub they show up. The LacCie drive doesn't show up plugged directly into the Time Capsule or through the hub.

What could I be doing wrong?

So if i understand correctly - you can't see it when connected to your mac or to your time capsule?

Do you get any kind of error messages at all?

Did you open Disk Utility? Do you see it there?

    It might be formatted funky.

yes, formatting problem when I'm trying to access the NAS attached drive from OSX.

I need to find how to make the USB drive that's attached to my Time Capsule be accessible from all computers on the network OSX/WINdoze.

I've read there's software you can use, what's the best?

    Thanks
