I recently bought a Time Capsule and already own the previous version of Airport Extreme (not dual band, but n/g/b)

I want to make the Time Capsule the primary base station and the Airport Extreme the extender. I have both n and g devices hitting my network.

For the best network throughput, I need to make the Airport Extreme just g only, correct? If I don't, the network performance will "downgrade", correct?

Thank you for your suggestions in advance!

If I understood properly....use the TimeCapsule as the main dual band high speed wireless router...plug the AirPort Extreme into an Ethernet port on the TimeCapsule; configure it as an extender and as G devices only.

that way if a G device connects to the AEBS it wont hamper down on the Timecapsule or N devices connected to the main unit.

i personally havent set anything like that up yet myself but from my understanding thats what I gathered.
