Time Capsule and External Disk - PRobably really simple!

so I just got a Time Capsule and all is working well. I got printing working easily.

I just plugged in an external hard drive to the TC and I can't get the disk to show up on any of the computers. I can see the disc in Aiport Utility, but I can't get it to mount so I Can interact with it.

What do I do??

I don't have a TC so I'm not sure how much I can help. The first things that come to mind though are 1) did you format/partition the hard drive 2) did you try to reboot the TC after you connected the HD?

I got another question which may interact with the topic of this thread.
Assuming that I connect an external USB HDD to Time Capsule can I perform backups using that external hard drive via WiFi?
