I have a few questions before putting down the money for the Time Capsule.

Is it possible to use the Time Capsule as a NAS where I could store my iTunes music & movies library? If that's possible, will there any speed difference compared to my external HD hooked up via USB? I want the ability to share one itunes music library with multiple macs in the household via wirelessly with Time Capsule.

Is it possible to hook up another external harddrive to the Time Capsule and access it with my Mac as though it's another NAS? Would it show up as two NAS? (Time Capsule's HD & External HD connected to the TC)

I am pretty sure you can do this.

Check that out, its even accessing the data on a TC remotely.

It will definitely be slower, your max wifi is not as fast as USB2 (in theory) it will definitely be more latent than USB2.

It would be fine for iTunes, except transferring them all to it initially, it will be slow, but not too slow. And if your Time Machine backups are big, like 5 - 10 gigs per backup, then that will take longer than TM to a USB device.

All you want to do will work, its just a matter of speed.
