Is it possible to store data on the time capsule (no overwriting data) AND still use time capsule to continually backup from my computer?

I have been using it to backup my computer for over a year. Now I want to store files (remove files from my computer) on it that will not be overwritten during the back up process.

Yes it is possible, but that will limit the space you have for backups. More imortantly, any data stored on the Time Capsule and off your computer will not be backed up by the Time Capsule. Just be aware that if you're using the Time Capsule as storage, you will need to have another means of backing up that data.

You can also purchase a USB HDD and connect it to the Time Capsule's USB port and use that as storage instead. But again, you will need to ensure that those files on that hard drive are backed up as Time Machine will not back those up either.

What is the process to put files on TC for storage?

Yes thanx for the advice.

I still want to put files for storage (no overwriting) and still be able to back up my computer.
