Time Capsule being phased out of use with Time Machine?

Just got home from work, and received the following notification from my OS.

Anyone else gotten this? Clicking the prompt takes you into Time Machine settings and offers a 'more info' page to read, but doesn't explicitly say anything about Time Capsule or what alternatives you require.

Been known for quite some time Apple will phase out Time Capsule support. Best switch to a NAS device. I moved to a Synology NAS about 4 years ago for Time Machine network backups and haven't looked back.

macOS 27 will not support the use of a Time Capsule for backups.
