Time Capsule help...

Hello, So I had an issue with the internal antennas inside the time capsule not transmitting the full range. Apple was so kind to send me a replacement BUT i have like 800GB worth of info on the defective TC, I needed to know what should I do. I just purchased a 1TB external to transfer the data from the old TC - to the external HD - back to the new TC. #1 what would be the fastest way to copy the data over, I noticed a archive button in the "data" menu of airport utility and #2 advice.....PLEASSSSE HELP! this is driving me CRAZY 😱 Thanks in advance 😀

Copying it over will work just fine. I've successfully copied over backups and then resumed them from the target drive. I'm not entirely sure how the archive button works, but I do know a direct copy will.
