My 3TB Airport Time capsule has two major issues. Since September 9, the time machine feature on my macbook pro retina (late 2013) has not been able to find drive in my time capsule and cannot backup to it. Also, when I use the time capsule as a wifi router, I have a weak connection. The connection is stable enough for a while, but my macbook eventually loses the signal completely. Additionally, I also notice the airplay display icon in my menubar will disappear and reappear every few minutes. I have tried restarting my macbook and my time capsule, but the issues persist. I also did a hard reset of the time capsule and I still have those same problems. I should mention that September 9 is also the same time I upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan’s GM release. Would my problems be related to my OS upgrade or could it be a hardware issue?

Your issue is most likely related to issues in the beta. Apple will not provide you support due to you running the beta. Should you require support you will need to make a time machine backup of your machine if possible, erase your disk and use internet recovery to reinstall OS X Yosemite as that is the currently supported version

Any chance this problem could be fixed once the release version of El Capitan is available?

Short answer is probably but I don't know. You'll have to install the full release when it's available and see. Worst case if it does still occur phone in and an advisor will troubleshoot it for you. It may be an emerging issue which may go to our senior level advisors or possibly engineering department for further review

Thank you. That's probably the best answer I'm going to get anywhere. By the way, will the upgrade to the release version be any different for me because I'm using the GM version as opposed to the Yosemite?

I don't believe your update process will be any different. Though don't quote me on that.
