I've had my Time Capsule for a few years now and just last night it completely dropped the Wi-Fi connection while my main router worked. Unplugged the router to restart the connection and it fixed it. Now, just this morning, the same thing happened again and I resolved it in the same way. Looked in AirPort Utility and found out that while before it showed my Time Capsule as a part of my network, it now shows the Time Capsule, but says that it is not part of the network. Which I find odd as the computer I am typing this on is connected to internet via the Time Capsule.

Anything I should do to perhaps prevent it from happening again or to get AirPort Utility to re-recognize the Time Capsule as part of the network?

Try doing a factory reset, give it a static IP address, and downgrade to 7.6.1 in that order of things to check.
