I have a Macbook Pro with OS 10.7.
I have used the Time Capsule for quite a long time and not had any problems.
However, lately I can't do any backups as it says 'device can't be found'. On the actual TC the amber light is blinking and in Airport Ulitlities there is a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark beside the name of the TC.

I have also recently started using an external hard drive for my pictures and am wondering if that could have anything to do with my TC problems.

I have tried everything under the sun to fix it but it doesn't work. Can someone out there please help me?

I'm sorry I don't know what the problem is, but I doubt it's related to the new external hard drive.

I'd focus on getting that amber light to green on the TC, using Airport Utility. Does hovering over or clicking on the yellow triangle in Airport Utility give any information?

Time Capsule problem

It only says: Device not found and that the TC was previously part of my net work, to check that it's still in range of my network and that it's plugged in. That's all but it has always been in the same place.

Time Capsule problem

Hi

I just wanted to say that I found another post at 'discussions.apple.com', where the advice was to download Airport Ultilities 5.6 and set the TC up manually, which I did. I don't really know in detail what I did but it seems to have done the trick, as the light is now green :D

Many thanks anyway for trying to help me.
