Hi guys,

I currently have an iMac with a fairly large iTunes library on it (~50GB). This is also backed up to a 1TB Time Capsule.

I am currently awaiting delivery of a new Macbook Pro, having always previously owned Windows laptops, and have a quick question.

What is the easiest way to copy my entire iTunes library from the iMac to the MBP? Is it possible to do this directly from the Time Capsule?

Thanks in advance for all your help, relative newcomer to the Mac world here!

John

Copy the contents of your iTunes folder that resides on your iMac and paste it onto your new MBP iTunes folder.

I recommend using Gigabit Ethernet for the transfer, as this is likely the fastest way to transfer between the two units.

If time isn't an issue, you could have your Time Capsule just restore your iMacs image to your new MBP? That way everything you had before will have transferred!
