I have been thinking about getting a Time Capsule to use with my MBP. Anyone use one with their MBP?

Does it have to be automatic backup or can I use this like a regular external HDD?

Recommended? Pros/Cons?

Thank you!!

If you don't need wireless backups, I'd recommend just buying a regular external hard drive and saving a lot of money. Any external hard drive can be used with Time Machine. However it can also act as a wireless print server which is a major plus IMO.

Hmm....that is a plus! I think I will pick one up! Thanks!

in my opinion its quite expensive for what it is

i just use a regular external harddrive as the time machine and thats fine

the wireless printing is a plus but still in my opinion not worth it..

just my 2 pence lol

It's a wireless base station as well as a disk drive. You can hook a USB hub to it too. If you need these multiple features, it's nicely convenient. If you need only the backup drive, it's overpriced.
