Nice of Apple to say the date but not the time. Some of us do work and live on the east coast. This was at 7:30 this morning and still nothing! It may have been easier if they had released it during the night for some to download and take the strain off the servers.

My guess is 10AM Cupertino time (PST).

Maybe 8AM PST if we're lucky.

I heard it will be at 9 AM. But not sure which timezone. :)

Seriously, if I was in charge of a major software push that as a big face-plant last year, I'd want it scheduled after I had my first cup of coffee.

They want the servers to crash, I'd gets maximum exposure to the popularity of Apple, just like they want people to line up around the block for any product they release.

Actually, for a company that sells its own brand of servers, I assume having the servers crash would not be good marketing.

No one would take notice of that, the press would just say "Apples servers crashed due to the popularity of the new 3.0 softare release"

No one really takes notice of the server brand, on any crash.

Oh, I'm sure Microsoft would notice. As well as Cisco. If Apple's own server were to crap out, both companies would be on it in a heartbeat. Unless of course, Apple isn't using their own server product. Then Cisco would love that too.

On the flip side, if the servers don't crash, then Apple can use the download statistics as part of their marketing for Xserve.

    We sail tonight for singapore,
Were all as mad as hatters here
Ive fallen for a tawny moor,
Took off to the land of nod
    Drank with all the chinamen,
    Walked the sewers of paris
I danced along a colored wind,
Dangled from a rope of sand
You must say goodbye to me

Unless you're writing an erotic novel could you please not spell "come" as "cum". The word "cum" is more of a noun:eek:
