Time machine doesn't work for me on my Leopard upgrade of Tiger on my macbook pro.

Anyone recommend reliable back up soft ware for mac? I use seagate discwizard on my Vista desktop and would like something similarly reliable for mac.

I am almost reduced to tears of frustration with time machine. I've even bought a 2nd external drive incase my Maxtor one touch was the issue. My Macbook still regularly fails to backup files to my New Iomega drive.

The particularly useless error message tells me this with monotonous regularity. Could an error message be less helpful?

SuperDuper. The only backup software you'll ever need. And it's free unless you want to pay for advanced options.

or carbon copy cloner

pretty much does the same thing.

Or Chronosync for a few more features but that costs $$

Thanks for the options, you might just have saved my sanity.

Try them all out (& the demo's) and see which suite you best although they all pretty much do the same thing
