I would like to know if the Time Machine does a full image backup of your laptop (Including your settings, wallpapers, etc) or just file backups.

Also is it better to upgrade to Snow Leopard or clean install? I find clean install very inconvenient since I have all my files, settings etc on my MacBook.

Please reply back and thanks in advance-Rekhyt

by default Time Machine backs up your whole hard drive except a few cache and log files/directories.

if you think an upgrade will not be as clean and dont want to do a clean install, boot into the install DVD and install from there. it does an Archive & Install and will be just like you left it in Leopard but a Snow Leopard system.
