Time machine backup question?

Have a question. Is it good to create a fresh time machine backup after updating to a major os or is it okay to continue to use the same time machine backup from before?

Also the same applies for minor updates?

It's okay to continue to use the same time machine backup from before.
The incrementele updates will be managed bij MacOS.
