Hi guys,

I recently upgraded my internal hard drive and had to start with my original install disc for Leopard. I made my way back up to 10.8.2 Mountain Lion, but I don't have any of my files or programs on here. I have multiple Time Machine backups from before my hard drive upgrade (also 10.8.2).

I now have iLife '11 on my MBP, but all of my TM backups only have iLife '09 on it.

My question is, if I restore from backup will TM overwrite iLife '11 and revert it back to iLife '09? I would obviously like to keep iLife '11 instead of it reveritng back to '09.

Thank you all in advance!

Use Migration Assistant and don't check the option for Applications. But I'm not sure whether it will overwrite it if you did migrate everything though.
