I just got one this morning, my backup hd was getting full and time machine aborted backup. The figures were something like 300MB needed, 500+MB available. I thought time machine was supposed to remove older backups to make room for new ones, but that doesn't seem to be the case... 10.5.1 update also broke the transition animation when switching accounts.. no more flipping cube.

    Same problem

I keep getting similar messages. Tried reformatting the external drive and restarting Time Machine. After two days it again told me the drive was full. There are only two windows when I open Time Machine - one says "Today at 8:05 AM", the other says "Today (Now)". Snort.
