time machine clone??

    I checked the search option for this but no answers...

    Does time machine clone the whole hard drive like carbon copy cloner??

    Can the time machine backup be bootable??

    No. Time machine creates partial snapshots periodically. It does not clone the drive and cannot be made bootable.

    Time machine maintains one fully up-to-date clone of your hard drive, and then maintains iterations of file-changes going back in time as free space allows.

    Time Machine backups are not bootable.
