I have a 320 Gig HDD internal on my iMac and a 500 Gig external Data Disk.

For Time Machine I use a 750 Gig HDD.

Time Machine drive has 280 Gig Available yet Time Machine reports it as FULL.

Data on other drives ......

72 Gig on 320
316 Gig on 500

Is Time Machine "predicting" future usage???

Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

is there a reason for time macine to backup your 500GB external-I can not be certain but that may be your problem-Time Machine is made to backup your internal drives-it should not matter but I wonder why you are backing up someting that is more or less backup

again i could be wrong i am someone chime in and say so

My iTunes Library, and iPhoto library are on the 500 Gig external.

Time Machine has been backing it up all along with not problems, until now.
