OK. Here's the deal. I upgraded my external hard drive and setup Time Machine. Ran like a champ for 2 days. Then, errors saying the disk is read only. No big deal. I reformatted the drive and tried again. Same problem after 2 days. Plenty of room on disk. Nothing else has changed. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Does get info on the drive say its read only? or is it the backup directory on the drive that read only?

I have no idea what it could be, but thats some information thats missing.

here are some links I found by googling "time machine" "read only":

The first one had a guy with the same problem, and 2 days later the drive died. Another poster said he "verified the disk" in Disk Utility, and it fixed it.
