i have entourage on my mac which i use to collect email with. I though i would have it loaded then run time machine but if you do that it loads the desktop folder then time machine. So how you suppose to restore your email, or cant you.

I dont know where entourage stores the mail other wise i could restore it via the finder. But i thought with time machine you could just restore that one important thing like an email.

Anyone know how i can do this or is this a Bug i have found in leopard.

Users/YOURACCOUNT/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities

Data is stored in folders based on the account in use. Inside that folder is the settings, and the DB which contains your mail

And you would be restoring that Database file. The only thing about that, these files a large. i've had mine for about 5 years I think, it's about 800mb.

Entourage

well my database is about 1.5gb. after i posted this i had found the entourage database but surely you should be able to have entourage open and then run time machine and restore individal emails back to the box.
