I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I've never noticed this before.

Time machine seems to be excluding itself from the backup folder section.
Under snow leopard this was always blank, now time machine lists itself in here. :confused:

Why would you want to back up your Time Machine drive to Time Machine :confused:
 
Backing up your backup would cause an infinite loop of accumulating backups, as you would, at each subsequent step, create a duplicate of your current backup, which would result in a logarithmic increase of redundant data on the same disc. In other words, it would be really stupid.

And I don't know if the Time Machine Disc appeared on the exclusions list in Snow Leopard, but even if that wasn't there, it still excluded it anyway.
