time machine how to plug in via usb?

    Is it possible to use time machine as a usb device instead of using WIFI cause eversince I switched ISP the backup takes forever.

    Do you mean the Time Capsule device? If so, yes, but the backup will be different. And have you checked your router settings, since changing the ISP should have nothing to do with wireless backups? What (Mac) OS X version do you use?

    Just to clarify, no you cannot connect the Time Capsule via USB and back up. The USB port on the Time Capsule is only to connect USB HDDs, USB printers, or a combination of both using a USB hub. You cannot connect directly to the Time Capsule via USB.

    You can, however, connect via Ethernet. This will be faster than Wi-Fi, but as simsaladimbamba said, you should not be required to recreate your backup upon switching ISPs.
