Hi all!

Just a quick question, can i actually back up my files through time machine on my mac itself? and how do i go about doing it?

If you have two drives in the Mac, then yes. Otherwise it's not a backup. If the hard drive fails, you lose all the data in that drive, including your "backups" if they are on the same drive.

The only thing other thing positive would be the ability to use the "restore" function for files and stuff.
