I'm receiving my MBP on Wednesday and had a question about Time Machine that maybe someone could answer. Can i back up to an external drive connected to a PC(not a mac) on my network? I'm just trying to find a way to do this wireless until i can find the $$$ for time capsule. I have a linksys router, so i cant do the airport trick i've read about

thanks

I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Time Machine won't see your drive as directly connected, which is what triggers the automatic backup process.

AFAIK, the way that Time Machine does its backups requires that the destination drive be formatted as HFS, which Windows would definitely not like.
