Hello guys

I am planning to reinstall Mac OSX (and windows xp bootcamp) with a clean install after I'm done with this semester (which is in a few days)

I was wondering if backing all my important files (like my music, pictures, documents etc) using Time Machine is the best way.
Or should I just...copy and paste the files I want to back up in my external harddrive

Thank you for your input

Time Machine is by far better. It will copy all the files you tell it to and then copy over changes you make in different intervals. You can also go back to certain times and get files that you may have deleted. I did this two hours after I changed something a few months back.

Easily the best backup mechanism I've seen.
