I plan on upgrading to Snow Leopard tomorrow, and my iMac needs a clean install. I want it to be fairly smooth, however. When I restore from time machine, is there any way to restore everything EXCEPT system files? I want to get rid of all the junk that's built up, but I don't want to lose my apps/docs/pics/etc. Will "Upgrade" do that, or will there still be the junk files? Thanks.

Use Migration Assistant To Bring In User Account

You can use Migration Assistant from a 10.6 clean install to bring in your User(s) account from a Time Machine Back-up.
