this is just my 2nd time backing up (i do it monthly) via timemachine. does it always back up your whole macbook? mine is at like 100GB and its going to take awhile.. i thought i would just add in the new stuff you got since the last back up

A lot of files can change with a month of use. Do you use VMWare or Parallels? If so, your entire virtual machine will be backed up also.

^ i used to leave my external hard drive plugged in all the time.. then it died out on me one year later>_>. i try not to leave on my external hard drive
