this is just my 2nd time backing up (i do it monthly) via timemachine. does it always back up your whole macbook? mine is at like 100GB and its going to take awhile.. i thought i would just add in the new stuff you got since the last back up

A lot of files can change with a month of use. Do you use VMWare or Parallels? If so, your entire virtual machine will be backed up also.

i keep my time machine on 24/7 and every time it backs up it averages 500-800 mbs of data, things just simply change so it corrects them.
