Hi,

I'm having a problem with my time machine in combination with airport extreme. Everytime time machine wants to make an initial back-up. This takes very long (12 hours for 1 gb). I first made an initial backup via the USB calbe. When this has been finished I connected the HD to my airport etreme. When i start time machine it will make a completely new back-up instead of using the initial backup. How can i change this?

Hope you can help.

Thanks in advance

Plug into the router with Ethernet. Airdisk access is never speedy but it will be faster than wireless.

It's to do with mount points... Time machine gets confused when you go from USB to network.

it's running for a few hours now, but it's still on 400 mb of 105 gb...

Update: After one night i'm at 1,5 gb... This means that i have to wait 100 days for my initial back-up will be ready. There shoulde be another way...
