Morning, I am wondering if anyone else has the same issue, I always have my time back-up on, so the usb cable never gets taken out. So why Oh why do I keep getting a message that Time capsule was removed before quitting application. I know the back up drive has no sleep mode and like I have said the cable is always attached and not loose any ideas

Some hard drives have "shock detection" built in. So, if they get bumped or jostled, they park the reader arms to prevent damage. Check your manufacturer part number, don't jostle the drive.

Could also be the drive failing.
I had such case with one external Samsung drive, that was failing and it showed it to outside world by dropping out from USB connection.
