I have time machine set up for manual backups only. I back up once a day and each back up is about 50mb. Even though I dont really change anything, is this normal?

50MB seems small enough to me, sounds reasonable.

Any reason you're doing it by hand? Seems like you're creating a lot of work for yourself for no measurable benefit (if your dailies are only 50MB in size).

I'd set it to automatic, if the dailies are only 50MB. What I can't figure out is, if I edit the title of a ripped movie, TM goes ahead and backs up the ENTIRE file, again, for only a simple name edit. ZFS, we need you! :p
