Time to port phone number?

On Monday afternoon, I bought the iPhone 3G. During the buying process, I had my phone number ported over from Verizon. It's now been over 2 days, and I'm still receiving calls on my old VZW phone. AT&T says it could take up to 5 - seriously?! I've ported before, and it's taken hours, not days.

How long has it taken you to port your number? I've called AT&T, and they say to just keep waiting, but it's hard to wait almost a week, especially when I'm carrying around 2 phones.

LOL, that's wayyy too long. I would call them back and tell them to hurry.
I just did mine tonight at an ATT store and she said it'd take 3 hrs. It's been 3.5hrs and I'm getting a little worried. She did say to call her back in the morning if it didn't go through.

btw, i'm porting from sprint and they are reluctant to release numbers.
