Oh mine is right on the dot with the 50 minute reminder. And I can live with the driving reminders on long drives. Actually I should probably stop and walk around - it would do my circulation good. And I just find it amusing when it tells me to stand when I have been walking all over different stores for hours. But wake me up when I am sleeping - not cool.

The thing that annoys me is when I know for a fact that I've stood up—often for well over a minute—and I don't get credit for it. As an example; walking around my bedroom, picking up and organizing things during the last hour, and no credit for it.

Actually, there is extensive research that shows otherwise. That's why it's given such an important place on AppleWatch's health metrics.

Sitting down for long periods of time increases your risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, mental health disorders, back pain and even cancer. Interrupting that cycle 12 times a day, even if it's for just one minute each time, does in fact improve your health by demonstrably decreasing those risk factors.

Very true, just one article I remember reading a few years back (I'm sure there are more recent ones)

That's a bit of a design flaw if you can just dangle your arm to get the credit. Doesn't make the AW a reliable device for fitness if you can do that.

All fitness devices use accelerometers and gyroscopes to detect movement and algorithms to interpret them. In order to correct this "design flaw" that all fitness devices have would require some type of external monitoring camera system that could actually 'see' what you are doing.

Also, when wearing the AW while asleep it woke me 3 times last night prompting me to stand. I use the "bedtime" feature to dictate when to go to sleep and wake up but apparently the "stand up" feature on the AW does not pay attention to the bedtime feature on my iphone.

I got several taps telling me to "stand up" while I slept last night. I hate to turn off the feature as I use it during the day but if I decide to continue to sleep with my AW I will have to.

Did you try turning on Do Not Disturb? I have my phone set to automatically turn on DND during the hours when I'm generally sleeping, and my watch set to mirror the phone setting. I've never been woken up by a stand reminder, even though I wear the watch while sleeping.

The "bedtime" feature is just an alarm to tell you when you should go to bed and wake you up when it's time to get up. It doesn't mute notifications.
