Is it possible to see what my desktop looked like a few months ago using time machine? The reason I ask is that my external hard drive is partitioned for time machine backup and my video editing stuff. The partition for video editing has an icon on the desktop that has changed names twice now. I'm not sure if someone is accidentally changing the name of it, or, I have a strange problem with my machine/ software.
    Thanks in advance.
    Dale.

Yes. You should be able to Command Click your TM icon in the upper right and click enter Time Machine. and then it basically shows a thing of dates to the right and click how far back you want to go and then it has a finder window from back when you clicked. If that was hard to understand. Its pretty self explainatory once you enter time machine.
