Can I restore a 2012 Mac Mini from my TM that's been connected to my 2020 Mac Mini?

If so, any issues I need to be aware of?

Use Carbon Copy Cloner. If you are on Catalina or lower you will be fine. But if you are on Big Sur do not clone it..
