Yesterday I was sent a PowerPoint presentation that Timex is currently circulating to sporting goods retailers. Among a dozen or so new sports watch models, one called the i-Control features buttons that allow the wearer to wirelessly control an iPod's basic functions (play/pause, volume, track fwd/back). No mention of what kind of dongle is required, or if it's compatible with Nike+iPod... we'll just have to wait and see. It's supposed to ship in September with a suggested retail price of $120. Of course, I'm still waiting for the rumored Nike+ watches that were supposed to ship in May. For those interested, a few more details are on my blog.
