I just purchased a 13" macbook pro and it has the newest magsafe adapter which feels a bit difficult to pull out. Ive been real careful when inserting and removing the cable but it still seems to have caused a tiny chip right above the charge port. Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Aluminium is soft so it will ding and scratch. You pretty much have to either be careful or use skin/hardcase.

well ive had stationary since i bought it so i didnt bang it against something. Im positive it happened when inserting or taking out the charge cable. Since its magnetic, i feel it grind in there when i put it in or try to take it out.

I'm pretty sure it didn't chip itself.

Anyways, I have a dozen dings and chips on my machine where I have no idea how they came to be.
