Yes but I told you that it asks me to pick the IPSW for my current firmware and I can't do anything else.
redsn0w_win_0.9.10b6 running on Windows does not.

If you have blobs saved on your computer:
Extras -> SHSH blobs -> Verify -> Navigate to the folder where your where blobs are stored and select one. I get a response of "all 19 blobs verified for ECID ***, APTicket is present and valid."

If you do not have blobs and want to see if they are stored on Cydia:
Extras -> SHSH blobs -> Query -> Enter ECID. I get a response of "full blobs", but it does not not mention APTicket.

I'm on a Mac though. Any other method? Or maybe an older version of Redsn0w?

The idea in Post #7 works. Make a copy of one of your local SHSH files, rename name it to something.plist.gz, decompress it and open the something.plist file. I don't know what it will open with on a Mac. It's a binary plist file. Maybe Mac's have a default binary plist viewer? Or open it in a text editor. It will look strange but you should be able to search for the word APTicket.

The only entry I found is in post #24. Can you please have a look at that and tell me if that's what I'm supposed to have.

It's the same on Redsn0w for Mac. I don't know what you're doing wrong, but try again following the directions carefully. It will work if you do it right.

Here is a screenshot of the screen I get when I run Redsn0w

That's what my plist file looks like. It has the APTicket text. And why don't you try the current version of Redsn0w? The one your running is from July 2011.

Notice the version of Redsn0w at the top of your screenshot
You have a very outdated version of Redsn0w

If you get the newest version, you can use it as intended for current firmware.

I guess that explains it. I'll update when I get home. Thanks for the help!

I updated and it verified and both the shsh and apticket are present! Thanks guys. I don't know what I'd do without MR and it's members :p

Can you write up a guide on how we can downgrade from 5.1 to 5.0.1 for us 4S users? I'm assuming this is what you've done correct?

That's too bad, I guess it's a waiting game now. I'm still new to all this so excuse the noob lol
