I have a iphone 4 with 4.2.1 on it, but tinyumbrella saved it as 4.3.1?? It says it didn't save my 4.2.1 shsh?? And also the TSS server won't stop running??

You can only SHSH save while Apple still signs the firmware. I bet you just tried to SHSH save recently (after apple stopped signing 4.2.1) and that the the reason you don't have 4.2.1 save.

In order to have saved the 4.2.1 you had to do it any time before March 9.
Its not what is installed on the phone that matters but what blobs apple's servers are releasing.
When 4.3 comes out they stop releasing 4.2.1 blobs so Tinyumbrella cant retrieve and save those. Again shsh's are not saved on your phone and what firmware version is installed on your phone doesnt make a difference.

Yep, it gets a little complicated when it comes to shsh blobs.
The first thing I do when I get an iphone or a friends iphone that wants me to JB is to plug it in and run TU.
