I wasn't aware of this rule, I could have saved some money :)

I only tip if it is deserved and I am usually quite hard to please. If I do tip I try to give generously. I have also tipped very low amounts (a few pennies) as mentioned above to make a point.

Hmm, I was under the impression that tipping wasn't common with europeans.


I guess I was wrong. Thats why generalizations are bad, kids.
 
Only tip they get is if I don't feel like carrying the change with me.

You wait on me at a table, or bring food to my car, you get a tip.

You simply make/get my food and hand it to me at a counter - no tip.

The use of tip jars has gotten ridiculous.
